WALKING HOLIDAY TYPES

RESIDENTIAL CENTRE BASED WALKING

Stay in one place and come back to your comfortable bedroom each night!
If you are new to walking holidays or travelling on your own looking for companionable walking, then this is an excellent place to start. Many centres offer holiday alternatives for non-walking partners.
Residential centres provide a range of guided walks not offered elsewhere – a choice between easy, medium or harder walks each day.

LONG DISTANCE & GUIDED WALKING TOURS

For people who like to go with a small guided group, on a particular trail or area, all at the same walking grade.
Long distance walks are defined as either continuous “point to point” tours where you move to a new location each day or second day and, “explorer” style tours which are based at a single location.
Some long distance tours use several locations en-route with mini-bus transfer included to achieve onward movement.

  • All meals including picnic lunches.
  • Services of fully trained, experienced guide for the duration of the tour.
  • Transport to and from the start of your walk, as required in the walking program.
