comfortable bedroom each night!
If you are new to walking holidays or travelling on your
own looking for companionable walking, then this is an excellent
place to start. Many centres offer holiday alternatives for
non-walking partners.
Residential centres provide a range of guided walks not offered
elsewhere – a choice between easy, medium or harder
walks each day.

LONG DISTANCE & GUIDED WALKING TOURS
For people who like to go with a small guided
group, on a particular trail or area, all at the same walking grade.
Long distance walks are defined as either continuous “point
to point” tours where you move to a new location each day
or second day and, “explorer” style tours which are
based at a single location.
Some long distance tours use several locations en-route with mini-bus
transfer included to achieve onward movement.
What's included?
- Hotel or guest house accommodation
with en-suite facilities.
- All meals including picnic lunches.
- Services of fully trained,
experienced guide for the duration of the tour.
- Transport
to and from the start of your walk, as required
in the walking program.
- Luggage transport day to day,
as required in the walking program.
SELF GUIDED WALKING TOURS
For independent walkers able to map read; the
freedom to go at your own pace and enjoy the challenge of route
finding.
What's included?
- Pre-booked bed and breakfast accommodation.
- Luggage transport day
to day.
- Back up service.
- Maps, detailed walk
notes and instructions.
- Meals: All self guided tours include
a full cooked breakfast. On most trails you will pass charming
inns, or shops,
where you can buy refreshments and at the end of your
days walking
there
is usually a choice of restaurants/inns. In remote
areas the accommodation provider will supply an evening
meal and your picnic lunch if ordered
on arrival.
