Offa's Dyke Path - The Welsh Coast to Coast Walk!

In the 8th century, King Offa of Mercia constructed a defensive dyke marking the western edge of his kingdom, for many miles it is still visible as a 7m bank and ditch. The route passes through varied scenery including the wooded Wye Valley, the distinctive Black Mountains, the rolling hills and secluded valleys of mid-Wales and the northern moors of the Clwydian Hills.

Pembrokeshire Coast Path

This path along one of Europe's beautiful coastlines is through Britain's only coastal National Park. In spring and early summer the cliffs are carpeted in wildflowers; all year there is an ever-changing display of marine and wildlife. Colonies of seabirds nest along the cliffs, while in the clear waters below, seal and dolphin can be seen swimming offshore.

The Edge of Wales Walk

The Llyn peninsula points towards Ireland from Snowdonia's mountainous heart. Breton Saints established churches here in the 6th century. When the Saxons invaded the east, Holy men fled west along the line of churches heading for sanctuary on Bardsey Island at the tip of the peninsula. Medieval pilgrims followed and their route is now known as the Edge of Wales Walk.

Pembrokeshire Coast Path

This magnificent coastal walk stretches for 298 km, from Poppit Sands in the north to Amroth in the south-east of Pembrokeshire. It can be walked in three easy sections north, central and south. For those with limited time a short 42km section based around St. Davids is included.

Offa's Dyke Path - The Welsh Coast to Coast Walk!

In the 8th century, King Offa of Mercia ordered a great dyke to be built, marking the western boundary of his kingdom with Wales. Beginning at Chepstow on the estuary of the River Severn, the Offa's Dyke Path follows the course of this ancient earthwork to Prestatyn on the North Wales Coast - a total of 284 km. This magnificent and challenging trail can be walked as a single 14 night tour or split for your convenience into two sections, north and south.

Glyndwr's Way

Is named after Owain Glyndwr, a Welsh nobleman who led a revolt against the English in 1400. The route passes through the deep green hill country and some of Mid-Wales' finest scenery. The walk can be divided into northern & southern sections with a link on Offa's Dyke to complete a marvellous two-week circular tour.

The Three Castles Walk

For four hundred years after 1066, the Normans sought to subdue the rebellious Welsh clans. Castles were built throughout Wales and the border region to control the important trade routes.
